Jackalyn Rainosek, PHD – How To Achieve Your Goals

As part of her role with DTP-Leadership Group, Jackalyn Rainosek, PHD places a lot of focus on helping young entrepreneurs achieve their goals. In doing so she has developed a number of handy pointers that should help those who are looking to achieve something new in life, no matter what that might be.

Write It Down

The first step you should take in your efforts to achieve your goal is to write it down. This is symbolic in many ways and makes the goal something tangible, rather than just a fleeting thought in your mind that may end up being lost in the ether. Once you have decided on the goal you want to achieve, you can set about doing the work required to get there.

Create a Plan

Very few goals can be achieved without commitment and hard work, so it is always a good idea to create a plan of action that defines the steps you are going to take to reach your goal. Ideally this plan should include milestones that break the goal down into achievable steps. Having a big dream can be intimidating, so breaking it down into more manageable steps will help you to start making progress towards it.

Stay Positive

Jackalyn Rainosek, PHD notes that adversity is something that we all have to face in life at some point or another, particularly in relation to the goals we set for ourselves. The key is how you react to adversity. Don’t allow a setback to place you onto a negative program of action. Instead, consider each obstacle you face as an opportunity to improve yourself.
